My Satur- day.

Hi! :)

So I said I'd update more often, so here I am. Doing a daily update, on what I'm up to on my day.

Today, I woke up around 10am because of a loud conversation outside my room door. -.-'
Our electricity went all retarded. Apparently our tv started smoking, and Esther's room light when 'POP' and stuff. So I woke up immediately to put on some shorts. And no, I was not sleeping in my panties. I was sleeping with my pj shorts, and just incase I needed to run out of my house, I'd look decent.
So yea, my dad, Esther and I were there for a few hours hoping that our things won't get on fire.

Thankfully, it wasn't close to that. We were really grateful that we were home when this happened. And, only OUR floor had problems with electricity. Hm. But yea, it's one thing that happened. Also, it's apparently really common to have your electricity cut frequently in Malaysia. *sigh. And, the internet here is sooooooooooooo slow. Jovey was right :(

So the whole morning and afternoon, we spent our time in our home-pjs and just chilled. We ended up getting ready around mid afternoon to have a late lunch, and due to some problems, we left the house around 3pm -.-' typical. The plan was to go to Suria ( a shopping mall in the city ) But, because we didn't have much time, we went to Maple Cafe to eat.

My day was pretty much boring. I went to badminton, came back around 6pm and decided not to go to youth because I couldn't be bothered getting ready in such a short time, so I chilled at home. With Esther, again. We wanted to go to Lucy's kitchen to have desert, but my mum said she'll be home late, so we wouldn't have transport back, so we ended up staying at home. And I made desert for us both!

Okay, so back in the days, when we were young, Esther and I would play with our food. We had such an 'imagination' back then. We would pretend we were tv show presenters trying food, food judges, advertisement people, cooks, etc.

I used to make - not make, but mix Strawberries and Vanilla ice scream together, to make both of those ingredients taste better. I know that it sounds simple, and honestly, it is. But this particular way that I do it, actually makes it taste much better instead of just eating strawberries and ice scream together.

But yea, this is how it ended up. I know it looks a bit messy, but hey! You just have to blame the humid weather. My house isn't exactly a refrigerator, so you'd expect my ice scream to melt in minutes.

mehehehe. Esther eating my 'creation'. She said it tasted so good. So I joked about how it's good enough to be on the menu for Lucy's kitchen, and she said it really does! :D gosh, feels so good when people appreciate your innovation.

But yea, honestly. This Strawberry Ice scream thing is so simple. And what makes it so good is actually how you - hm, how do I put it? well, it's how you arrange and place the strawberries. I mean just simply cutting the strawberries and putting it on the ice scream or around it tastes good too, but what makes it better, is another thing. Well, the 'secret', is to dice the strawberries. Yes, dice the strawberries. into like mini cubes, not mash it, but into really mini cubes. And Cut some of your strawberries like normal oval/round shaped.

Okay, here it goes. You scoop a scoop of ice scream, and put it in the middle of a bowl. take like a spoon/chopstick and poke a hole through the middle of the scoop of ice scream. So it's kinda like a donut - an ice scream with a hole in the middle. and you fill the hole with mini diced strawberries. Then, you scoop another scoop and put it on the top, and you could choose to repeat the first step. and then close the second scoop with a last scoop. and you put the round/oval shaped strawberries around the scoops of ice scream, and tada!

But um, yea, I didn't do that today, just because I don't know where my ice scream scoop went... So I just used 2 spoons and attempted to make my own retarded donut shape to fill my diced strawberries. and I only  scooped 2 scoops, so yea, excuse my presentation.

Notice the tiny diced strawberries under the ice scream?

THIS! ^
Yes, this is what makes it taste good. The thing is, when you fill the 'donut hole' with diced strawberries, the coldness of the ice scream actually freezes the mini diced strawberries, making them taste like mini strawberries ice cubes. Yes, it really does taste like that!

In the beginning of my desert attack, yes, the oval/round shaped strawberries and ice scream tasted good, but what tastes great is the diced strawberries and ice scream! Honestly, heaven. You really have to try it.

So yea, that is my 'innovation' , my simple simple trick to eating vanilla ice scream and strawberries... LEWL. whipped cream and chocolate sauce is optional :) I like it plain though, just so you can really taste the strawberries. Mm.. Yum!

Anyways, that's that. Goodnight.

Oh, and here's 2 funny pictures Esther decided to amuse me with.

It's okay, I told her I'd post it up :3 So I did get her approval! LEWL.

Don't you wish to have my younger sister? :P

I miss them;

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my friends in New Zealand, and how things used to be. Don't get me wrong, my life here is fine, perfectly fine, but I can't help but miss them.

I miss all my bestfriends. I miss how easy things was for me. I miss my youth and I miss my life.
I miss cuddling with Katie, I miss how comfortable I was with her. I miss her smile. I miss Steph. I miss how she would always have something to tell me. I miss how we would camwhore as a group. I miss talking to her. I miss helen. I miss holding her hands, linking arms with her. I miss out canteen-tuesdays. I miss being with her. I miss Bertha. I miss how we'd meet up every weekend. I miss her encouragement and comments. I miss her presence. I miss how close Kenneth and I were. I miss how he would hug me out of the blue and how we'd tell each other things and relate to them together. I miss Charles. I miss seeing his big smile and him saying ' CHELSEA :D '. I miss hearing him sing Taylor Swift and his cute cheekiness. I miss hayden. I miss Jason and our talks. I miss Samantha and how I felt when I was with her. I miss hugging pauline. I miss skyping Sookfie. I miss seeing Vibha every once in awhile, and the fact I could reach her anytime. I miss Vincen't texts. I miss Judy and our conversations. I miss Danielle's laugh and jokes. I miss seeing Kana and being with her. I miss having DMC's with Isaac.

I miss the food. I miss eating sushi of the day with Katie quite often. I miss having butter chicken with Helen, omu rice and chicken-on-rice. I miss going to momo with Katie and Steph. I miss the chocolate spiral $2 bread in new world. I miss starbucks with Steph, helen and Katie. I miss the loose change menu in mc D's.

I miss going to the library. I miss sitting down in the foodcourt doing nothing. I miss taking walks. I miss how near everything was. I miss how the city has 'everything'. I miss the cheap sales for Cotton on, Supre. I miss the classy heels from Novo, Hannahs and I miss Dotti. I miss window shopping and the cookies 'n' cream ice-scream.

I miss the wind raping my hair. I miss my daily routines. I miss saying 'hi', waving and smiling to acquaintances and friends/

I miss my friends. I really really miss them. Things are different, they will always be. I can't expect something to last or stay the same forever.

But, I just miss them.

I'll try my best to always keep in contact once in awhile, it's gonna be hard, to remain the friendship like before, but then again, it's always worth it, especially when they have played a significant part of my life.

Anyways, I haven't been blogging lately. Kenneth and Charles always remind me to blog. It's not that I don't have the time, or don't have any ideas to blog about, but it just takes effort. So for this blog, I'm gonna try to constantly update it, like Aaron. And making it like a daily routine. Just so my friends in NZ, or whoever who is interested, will know how my life is now, and know the changes with me, constantly, as I continue to update. :)

Also, I attempted to do a video log (for Katie). LEWL. attempted 3 times. -.- *sigh. I'm gonna re-record another one. :D soon, hopefully.

ALSO. my friends in NZ are having their mocks exams like now? SO GUYS, I wish you the best. I know many of you have been studying really hard! You guys will do fine! Remember to ask God for wisdom, as he will give it to you :)

I miss you guys :)

Beaches.

Why hello there! :)

I've been busy - kinda. Not really. My holidays started this week. A whole week of holiday. Yay.
I haven't been up to much, but I haven't been completely free either.

Things are slightly better, in some ways. I mean I'm still in touch with my NZ friends, I'm making friends in Malaysia, and I went to the beach! I mean wow, I love the beaches in Malaysia. If I could, I would go there ever single week. Honestly speaking, the beaches here make me happy. I mean really. The amount of crabs on these beaches are crazy. and I love crabs. Not eating them, but playing with them.

Creepy? not really. I grew up playing with these babies since I was tiny. They don't bite. A few weeks ago (two weeks ago - I think), Ephraim brought me (my sister and my mum) to the beach in Tangjungaru. (I probably spelt it wrong, but it's pronounced Tang-jung-ah-roo. Yea. that's it.

And it was amazing. Especially compared to NZ beaches! I mean in NZ, the sand is covered with shells. There's barely anyone there. And yea, not really much fun. But in Malaysia (or Sabah atleast), the beaches are always (kinda) crowded, the sand is golden and warm. And the crabs are cute as crap. Get it? Crab-crap. *wink

okay, I'll stop it.
Do you think I've gotten a sense of humour after I came back? no?

Anyways, here are some photos of my week :) so far.

The crab in my hand!

Me finding crabs! haha

Me with a tiny crab in my hand!

Hello Singapore!

HEEELLOOO SINGAAPORE!

okay, so I was in Singapore for 3 nights, 4 days.
It reminded me of Hong Kong, just somewhat smaller. o.o

3 things I love in Singapore is:

The food (ION FOOCOURT)
THE TOILETS
All the huge popular brands

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ACCOMMODATION:

I stayed at The Porcelain Hotel on Mosque Street, our room was pretty tiny (Standard double - for two. But, I would say the hotel was pretty good. To stay at a Standard double cost about $250 SGD. The rooms cost about $200-$750, depending on which room type is booked. We were really blessed, and my mum's friend actually pre-booked and paid for us! :D

The things I liked about the hotel was..

  • It was clean (CHECK)
  • They provided us a decently huge tv! (and a mini fridge with 2 bottles of water! yuuum :3 )
  • It has free wifi (YAAY!)
  • They provided pretty good things! ( Unlimited ammount of bottled waters, unlimited ammount of shampoo and body soap and a travel pack filled with things we need for travelling - toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. )
  • The cleaners (that also gave us the extra shampoos and body soap) was also pretty nice!
  • Good air conditioning!
  • Nice hotel designs!

The things that dissapointed me slightly was..

  • The room lighting - it wasn't bright enough to pluck my eyebrows ._.
  • Bad view ( We had this huge curtain that we pulled away for some decent view or sunlight, and 3/4 of it was actually the wall. -.- and the window was like complicated and crap, so we left the curtains closed in the end, BUT. I shouldn't have expected much. We weren't next to the sea or anything like that, we were pretty much facing like shops and chinatown. >.<' )
  • The receptionist wasn't exactly friendly..

VROOOM VROOOM : TRANSPORT!

In a taxi with my mum and Esther!

Our transportation to the hotel and airport (arrival and return) was by a Mercedes Van! ( We needed a van because we had 12 luggages with us: 6 hand carry, and the other 6 is just not hand carry, LEWL. ) Both our arrival and return drivers were absolutely nice and helpful! It costs about $50-$60 for each ride.

While we were at Singapore though, we used taxis to get us around! It's a few dollars more than the bus and metro, but it's worth it because you don't have to share seats, and you can pretty much get one whenever! Each ride costs approx $10 or less, or slightly more, depending on your destination.

SHOPPINGGGGGGG AND NOMNOMNOM:

We went to Orchard Road for most of the time. Orchard road is filled with many people, and branded shops! (We didn't get any branded things though, SAVE $$$)! But it was really good to see the atmosphere and surroundings!

Here are some of the shops I saw:

SEPHORA!

It's the biggest forever 21 i went to omg.

BOBBI BROWN!

OMG this place has really good-looking pastries.

Here are some of the yummy food I saw in Singa'!

It's shaped ba gua! (BBQ pork) there's tons of these in Singapore!

Starbuck frapps in bottles in the dairy! O:

my pork riblet bbq dinner - it wasn't THAT good. :S

We were at Ion mall for most of the time, let me just say that if you ever go to Singapore, GO TO THE ION FOODCOURT! It is so far the best foodcourt I have been to! The food is affordable and cheap, and has quite a good standard too! I highly recommend it! Most of the food in Singapore is clean and cheap! So anywhere is pretty much fine, depending on your taste. The things in Singapore also ranges from cheap to expensive, depending on the brand and stuff. So yup (:

That was my trip!

And here's the remainder of my photos I took in the trip!
