Beaches.

Why hello there! :)

I've been busy - kinda. Not really. My holidays started this week. A whole week of holiday. Yay.
I haven't been up to much, but I haven't been completely free either.

Things are slightly better, in some ways. I mean I'm still in touch with my NZ friends, I'm making friends in Malaysia, and I went to the beach! I mean wow, I love the beaches in Malaysia. If I could, I would go there ever single week. Honestly speaking, the beaches here make me happy. I mean really. The amount of crabs on these beaches are crazy. and I love crabs. Not eating them, but playing with them.

Creepy? not really. I grew up playing with these babies since I was tiny. They don't bite. A few weeks ago (two weeks ago - I think), Ephraim brought me (my sister and my mum) to the beach in Tangjungaru. (I probably spelt it wrong, but it's pronounced Tang-jung-ah-roo. Yea. that's it.

And it was amazing. Especially compared to NZ beaches! I mean in NZ, the sand is covered with shells. There's barely anyone there. And yea, not really much fun. But in Malaysia (or Sabah atleast), the beaches are always (kinda) crowded, the sand is golden and warm. And the crabs are cute as crap. Get it? Crab-crap. *wink

okay, I'll stop it.
Do you think I've gotten a sense of humour after I came back? no?

Anyways, here are some photos of my week :) so far.

Hello Singapore!

HEEELLOOO SINGAAPORE!

okay, so I was in Singapore for 3 nights, 4 days.
It reminded me of Hong Kong, just somewhat smaller. o.o

3 things I love in Singapore is:

The food (ION FOOCOURT)
THE TOILETS
All the huge popular brands

ACCOMMODATION:

I stayed at The Porcelain Hotel on Mosque Street, our room was pretty tiny (Standard double - for two. But, I would say the hotel was pretty good. To stay at a Standard double cost about $250 SGD. The rooms cost about $200-$750, depending on which room type is booked. We were really blessed, and my mum's friend actually pre-booked and paid for us! :D

The things I liked about the hotel was..

  • It was clean (CHECK)
  • They provided us a decently huge tv! (and a mini fridge with 2 bottles of water! yuuum :3 )
  • It has free wifi (YAAY!)
  • They provided pretty good things! ( Unlimited ammount of bottled waters, unlimited ammount of shampoo and body soap and a travel pack filled with things we need for travelling - toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. )
  • The cleaners (that also gave us the extra shampoos and body soap) was also pretty nice!
  • Good air conditioning!
  • Nice hotel designs!

The things that dissapointed me slightly was..

  • The room lighting - it wasn't bright enough to pluck my eyebrows ._.
  • Bad view ( We had this huge curtain that we pulled away for some decent view or sunlight, and 3/4 of it was actually the wall. -.- and the window was like complicated and crap, so we left the curtains closed in the end, BUT. I shouldn't have expected much. We weren't next to the sea or anything like that, we were pretty much facing like shops and chinatown. >.<' )
  • The receptionist wasn't exactly friendly..

VROOOM VROOOM : TRANSPORT!

In a taxi with my mum and Esther!

Our transportation to the hotel and airport (arrival and return) was by a Mercedes Van! ( We needed a van because we had 12 luggages with us: 6 hand carry, and the other 6 is just not hand carry, LEWL. ) Both our arrival and return drivers were absolutely nice and helpful! It costs about $50-$60 for each ride.

While we were at Singapore though, we used taxis to get us around! It's a few dollars more than the bus and metro, but it's worth it because you don't have to share seats, and you can pretty much get one whenever! Each ride costs approx $10 or less, or slightly more, depending on your destination.

SHOPPINGGGGGGG AND NOMNOMNOM:

We went to Orchard Road for most of the time. Orchard road is filled with many people, and branded shops! (We didn't get any branded things though, SAVE $$$)! But it was really good to see the atmosphere and surroundings!

Here are some of the shops I saw:

SEPHORA!

It's the biggest forever 21 i went to omg.

BOBBI BROWN!

Rubi Shoes!

Accessorize!

This shop reminds me of Bertha!

OMG this place has really good-looking pastries.

Here are some of the yummy food I saw in Singa'!

Starbuck frapps in bottles in the dairy! O:

my pork riblet bbq dinner - it wasn't THAT good. :S

We were at Ion mall for most of the time, let me just say that if you ever go to Singapore, GO TO THE ION FOODCOURT! It is so far the best foodcourt I have been to! The food is affordable and cheap, and has quite a good standard too! I highly recommend it! Most of the food in Singapore is clean and cheap! So anywhere is pretty much fine, depending on your taste. The things in Singapore also ranges from cheap to expensive, depending on the brand and stuff. So yup (:

That was my trip!

And here's the remainder of my photos I took in the trip!
