The Big News

Hello lovely!

This post is an introduction of this specific blog. As you may realized, this is a different blog of mine. I have 2 blogs. The other one is my personal thoughts, rants, etc (http://dear-eloquence.blogspot.co.nz/) and this one is specifically for my migration back to my hometown, Sabah.

I'm moving back to my hometown in July. As some of you may know, I come from Sabah, Malaysia. I have migrated twice in my life. I migrated internally to the capital (KL) when I was 6. I then migrated to New Zealand when I was 11 +.

2012 is my 5th year in New Zealand and I am dreading to leave here as I consider this place home. I've made alot of close friends during the past few years, grown as a person with them and made many memories. I will be leaving some details at the bottom regarding everything about my soon to be move. Any other questions, ask my formspring (: (http://www.formspring.me/CheelseaLeee)

So, why am I moving? Well, my dad got a job offer, and he wants to move back because he misses his hometown and my grandmothers are ageing. Mainly the fact he misses Malaysia.

When did I find out? I found out after our holiday trip which ended at the start of February. It was only confirmed some time in March.

Who knows? I told all my bestfriends, Katie was the first to know ever since I found out about my parents considering our move back. Most my church friends knows, good friends generally and some people I choose to tell. oh, and a few teachers.

How am I feeling about it? Well, I'm not depressed about it, but I'm not ecstatic over it. I'm definitely dreading to leave my best friends and church friends.

Am I coming back? I'm coming back for uni. Which I'm not too sure when, as I will be doing Cambridge, which could require more or less time as I am following the British school term and holiday dates.

Term 2 will be my last term at school in NZ, and I'll be leaving in July. I have my flight tickets, but would prefer not to post the actual date here.

This blog is named 'Stranger in my own hometown' because I haven't lived there ever since I left. People there are acquaintances, I don't have many friends back home and my relatives and I have a distant relationship. I don't know the language, am not familiar with places, etc.

This blog will just be me updating daily about my time left here, move, anything and everything regarding moving back and me settling in to my hometown.

p.s - I made this blog in April but decided to make it public about a month before I leave.

So yup that's the big news (:
